Fight against spam how widespread is spam?

According to Scott McAdams, OMA Public Affairs and communication (www.oma.org) Department: "studies show non-solicited or"junk"mail, known as spam, account for about half of all incoming messages."

Although once considered little more than a nuisance, the prevalence of spam has increased to the point where many users have begun to express a lack of confidence in the effectiveness of electronic transmissions and increased spread of viruses by unsolicited emails concern.

"In 2003, President Bush signed the Bill"Can Spam", in December 2003 is the first national standards around bulk electronic unsolicited commercial.  The Bill, approved by the Senate by a vote of 97-0, prohibited senders of commercial electronic messages unsolicited use false addresses back to hide their identity (identity theft) and use of dictionaries to generate these senders. An important point which must be examined in this regard: spam is now coming from other countries in ever greater numbers. These emails are more difficult to fight, because they come from the laws of the country, outside our and regulations.  Because the Internet opens borders and think globally, these laws are fine and good, but do not stop the problem.
