how to replace and fix laptop inverter

Enjoy your new inverter.

Troubleshooting of Dell Notebook Adapter

Portable computer adapter also called charger is usually cast like a brick.  This converts high voltage electric current electricity in an outlet in the required low voltage DC which is needed to power your laptop.

The adapter provides the necessary tension to laptop to power on,  charge battery and supply various parts that make up your laptop. It is very important to buy and use the appropriate adapter.  Purchase and install an incorrect adapter may cause damage to your laptop or simply not tension there.  As for laptops from Dell, for example, the Dell laptop battery charger has a label with a barcode on it.  Dell part number is printed on the sticker and it begins with "CN" or "D/AP" followed by a series of numbers.  The first series of numbers is your make number.  With this issue, you can now find the correct loader or a compatible.

Ac adapter, purchasing advice if you want to buy a new battery for NIKON EN-EL9 loader check adjacent notes:

1. your new loader or charger must have the same card (adapter tip) as the original.
2. Your new loader must exit the same voltage as the original.
3. The polarity on the new adapter plug must be the same as on the original OEM one.

You can find the output voltage and intensity on a label behind the adapter.  Also when you buy a new adapter, you can follow this simple rule: the output voltage should be identical, the amp can be similar to or greater than the original unit. For example, if your notebook requires a 19v 3. 42 A card, you can use safe one 19v 3. 95 charger.

How to test or restore a portable charger AC?

Most portable power Chargers latest are glued and you cannot open and repair.  If the card is dead, it is generally much more cost-effective to buy a new and highly recommended.

How can you if the AC charger is dead?  In addition, you can try to test with a voltmeter.  Let's say that you test a voltage 15V and the output is 15 45V.   This is normal and there is not really wrong if the output voltage reads a little more.  But if you get 0V, the adapter is all ratings DOA "dead".

Now, if you have accidentally broken plug of the adapter, you can try to replace it with another.  Simply ensure that new point has the same size as that of the former.  Out or cut old damaged and weld on a new CAP.  It is wise to have some sort of technical skills before attempting to repair the charger for dell inspiron 1420.  Always unplug the charger from the wall outlet to attempt a repair.

It would be difficult to challenge that your computer notebook adapter may be the only thing more important equipment you need. Without this, you would able to use your computer after an hour or two. AC adapters are running your computer to recharge the battery. Unfortunately, they do not last, and they can be quite expensive replacement.

Remove the obvious if your AC adapter does not work, it is best to eliminate the most obvious reasons really begin to troubleshoot. Make sure the outlet is alive by plugging in another device, such as a lamp. Verify that the plug is safe in the wall and that the entry is solidly in grey on the end of your computer. You must also verify that the pins on the end of the sheet are not broken in the plastic and come loose, rupture of the current connection. Make sure the cord is not fraying and damage.

Verify that the power brick if you have determined the output works, disconnect the adapter from the computer and plug it directly into the wall, bypassing any extension cord or surge protectors. Your brick, which is the black box in the middle of your wire, should have a LED light on what, when energized, should green. If yours is not a light del, feel brick for heat and vibrations that say if you if it receives a stream.

How to do when your battery won't fresh?

If your battery charge and that you have deleted the obvious reasons relating to your card, you can look at your battery. Turn off your computer, remove the battery and make sure the connectors to ensure that they are free of damage and debris. Replace the battery, making sure that it fits correctly and locks in place and then restart your computer.

The main reasons that fail AC adapters are brick power drop damage or shaking, cord damage caused by pets and parasites and damage the cord by winding it or bending on several occasions. You can extend the lifetime of your card by treating gently, never pull the cord to remove the plug from the wall and never pinching the cord in doors or drawers, under furniture legs. Always keep your adapter in a fresh and open place.

Use your laptop AC adapter effectively many people uses a day mobile and and night, it becomes a remedy for human beings humans.  For them, they can reach an agreement this AC Laptop adapter is most of the time frugail laptop. Most people have accepted this as a reality and only buy a brand new when the last is damage.

Say give you some tips followed, taking my laptop dell as an example,

1. keep water away within the charger. As we know, the laptop AC adapter is small and can be taken with the user very easily. But the structure inside it is very compact and dedicated. If you fell or flooded water and enters the Interior of the water and card may not work as usual because the Interior is damaged and electricity cannot be connected to the laptop . Sometimes the AC Laptop adapter will be get stop suddenly. So please keep the HP Pavilion dv6000 battery adapter far from water.

2 Keep the cool. Many people pay much attention to the warmth of their laptop and usually takes several steps to maintain the good heat removal. But there are few people to take care of their AC adapter. In fact, laptop AC adapter more hot laptop is used. If the removal of the heat is not good, laptop AC adapter is easily damaged. Remember not to put AC adapter for laptop on cotton or some other things where the Elimination of heat is not good.

3 Do not charge and discharge often.  the wire and the power adapter will be separated and loose.

4 Know the part number. If you accidentally delete your adoptive, namely the number as mine is Dell PA-10. Then you can obtain a replacement effectively. Because it is easy to find one that is PA - 10. And then check the reviews and the stars represent the client.

Do you want to know the secrets of your motherboard ?

Though the motherboard of your computer cannot be directly equated to a hi-end gadget that you get to see in science fiction movies, its importance cannot be undermined at any cost. It represents that piece of equipment in your computer that holds together the activities of all other components. It is also mainly responsible for allowing other components to receive power and communicate with one another. So, if you are aspiring to get a desired result for a query you posted against the computer then the motherboard should deliver in its normal way.

Motherboards have evolved a lot ever since they were developed some twenty years ago. Back then, motherboards functions were either slightly restricted or their functioning was completely over shadowed by the functionalities of memory slots and Floppy drive controllers. But now, everything associated with motherboards have changed and how! Motherboards functions have not just improved drastically but they are quick too. In fact, this quality of motherboards has been attracted a lot by those users who are always expecting their operating systems to be fast and relying more on their laptop and desktop computers.
The main objective of your computer motherboard is to control microprocessor chip and there by controlling the activities of other components that are connected to the chip either directly or indirectly.
Motherboard’s form factor is an important factor that needs to be considered before assembling all the components that goes into making a computer system. The layout and shape of the motherboard has to be taken into account. And accordingly, the computer cases can be built. However, form factor alone cannot be given all the importance. It isn’t the lone factor in deciding how a computer works along with a motherboard. The type of central microprocessor you are going to use depends a lot on the socket that is present on your computer motherboard. Also, the chipset that represents a part of the logic system in your motherboard plays a vital role in connecting CPU the computer.

Without the vital functioning of these components, an average user will struggle to make the most out of a computer and stay competitive in a fast moving society. All said and done, motherboards are being innovated further and newer technologies are incorporated into them to make them more efficient than they were before.

How to Do to Fix Laptop Keyboard Keys Sticking

How to do laptop keyboard keys sticking and fix laptop key sticking for laptop keyboard keys cleaning.

The keys on your keyboard are sticking or your keyboard is stuck for a couple of years old and a few of the keys stick when you are typing? Sticking laptop keys are a common problem because of contamination build-up like dust and hair, spilled drinks, and the wearing out of factory lubrication. Laptop keyboards will not wear out if you clean and lubricate them properly. Then there is no need to spend the money on an expensive replacement keyboard with following methods to restore your laptop keyboards to the snappy and smooth performance.

Step1: Troubleshoot the Laptop Keyboard Sticky Keys
Clean the keys that have wires attached and some grease with cotton swabs and naphtha (lighter fluid). Remove all traces of the grease.

Use a small screwdriver to gently pop the sticky keys off of the keyboard and place all keys in a container. Spray with household cleaner and let stand for 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with hot water and place keys on paper towels to dry. Let dry completely.
Note: Be gentle pressure with the key in case of using excessive force.

Step2: Clean the Entire Laptop Keyboard
If it's just on the surface of keyboard, you can gently try to pop a key off. Many times, the keyboard area is further protected underneath with a rubber or plastic membrane. Clean up what you can. If they come off fairly easily, take a picture of the keyboard before you remove any more, so you know how to put them all back on. You can also lay them out on a surface, in order, as you take them off. Once you have access beneath the keys, clean all the dirty things out of the keyboard with damp cloths and/or cotton swabs. Also clean the keys as best you can. If you have the picture of the layout, you can just throw them in a colander and rinse them off with warm water in the sink for a bit. You may need to take the keyboard apart further to get all the dust or drinks out of the various layers. Please allow them dry completely.

Step3: Place all Rubber Components into the Keyboard.
Install keys with wires. Make sure wire is secured in the key, usually snapped into place. Place ends of wire in the slots adjacent to the key location as you align the key. Firmly press down to snap the key into place. Install the rest of the keys by aligning and firmly pressing down.
Tips: Always read your laptop manually thoroughly before cleaning. Besides, laptops keyboards will have pop-off keys, so make sure you know before you try.

Well Done! Three easy steps make your laptop keyboard run smoothly.

How to Fix Laptop Keyboard Keys Not-Working

1. Some of the keys from laptop keyboard are not working, such as e, i, o, p, q, r, u, w keys are not working in my laptop keyboard. Help me to correct this issue. Or you have a problem with the keyboard on the laptop: the following keys do not work:3,e,d,c, etc and these keys are diagonally in a row.

2. Wrong characters appear when typing; Onscreen messages do not appear when pressing multimedia keys; Setting a multimedia button produces an illegal operation error message; ultimedia keyboard buttons not working; Internet keyboard buttons not working; Sticking keys and like these.

Solution: Try Multiple Methods

First Method: The most common problem when faced with a non-working keyboard is an improper connection. Try reconnecting your keyboard, restart your computer and see if that fixes it. Your keyboard connector may have been loosened. Keyboards use a matrix to determine if a key has been pressed to they get a signal on a column and on a row. A, encoder chip interprets the signals and send out the equivalent ASCII code. If the encoder is on your motherboard board and not the keyboard module, then the cable could have been partially pulled out, disabling a column or two of keys.

Second Method: Make sure the key is not working in more than one application. Some keys such as the function keys F1 through F12 will not work with every program. An easy way to test this is to open notepad or other word processing program and trying the key.If not all keys are working in all programs make sure it’s not just a glitch by first rebooting the computer. If this doesn’t resolve the issue and you’re using Microsoft Windows try the keyboard in Safe Mode. Information about getting into Safe Mode can be found on document CHSFAFE.

Third Method: If you are using a multi-media type keyboard, then delete the software before installing any new drivers for this type of keyboard. Install the updated driver for the manufactures web site, then re-install the keyboard software. If any software updates or patches are available for your multi-media keyboard, install them at this time. Delete the keyboard software by using Add/Remove Programs (Start>> Control Panel>> Add/Remove Programs). If you receive a prompt asking if you would like to remove all shared files, answer “No to all”. Then click OK.

Fourth Method: Try to clean your keyboard. Remove the key from the keyboard and clean it. In some situations like dirt, hair, dust, etc. can obstruct keys causing them not to work. Additional information about cleaning and removing keyboard keys can be found on Papatek Knowledge.

Fifth Method: If none of the above methods resolves your keyboard problem, it is likely that your keyboard is bad and it is recommend to replace a new one.

Note:
Just be careful when you’re dealing with laptops since they are very delicate machines. Replacing the keyboard will give you a new microcontroller and circuit board, so you should be good to go!

Importance Of Random Access Memory

During its operation the computer memory refers to one of the two types of the so-called “warehouses” of information. Volatile computer memory is a repository of information that must be constantly updated to it store different information for the computer. Static memory of the computer is a repository of information designed for permanent and long term storage of files that has to be kept in the computer memory after the computer is disconnected from the power supply.

RAM or random access memory is a volatile computer memory that is automatically cleared when the computer is disconnected from power. It is much quicker to work with the program instructions and data that are in RAM, in contrast to the data that is stored in permanent and long-term storage media. That is why the files that are needed to run the program and data that are used in the course of work of programs are in RAM during the use.

The amount the needed RAM depends, at least partly, on the type of the operating system that is installed on your computer (operating system – a program that defines the main functions required for the computer, such as the adoption of commands entered from the keyboard, displaying these commands on the monitor and controling the hard disk drive and other secondary devices) and on what programs you run on your computer.

Loading the bootup of the computer or in other words turn the computer on, then in the RAM in the computer all necessary files are loaded to run the operating system, along with many other files of various utilities and programs that are installed on the computer. For speeding the computer secondary files are loaded into “what remains” after downloading the necessary files.

For most DOS programs loading (disk operating system that controls all functions of the computer) only two megabytes of RAM are enough. For Windows 3.x the recommended minimum is four megabytes, but the programs run much faster, if eight or more free megabytes are available.

Besides, the operating system requires a certain amount of free RAM. For example, body graphics, video live and other similar applications require more RAM to work without buzzes, which is due to the fact that the computer does not have time to handle the flow of information, which is received by the RAM. Usually, complete computers are available with memory capacity of eight or sixteen megabytes, which is more than enough to run the main functions of the computer.

With improved memory management, reduced time spent on the execution of operations and a lower price, the RAM has become more practical and more convenient. A large amount of RAM helps programmers to be more creative and to write programs that require more RAM. There are good reasons to believe that this trend will continue.

Your computer can get into serious troubles if you do not pay attention to the regular update of the drivers. And this is where driver updater can save you much time and efforts.

We would like to give you some general tips – today the Internet technologies give you a really unique chance to choose what you need at the best terms which are available on the market. Strange, but most of the people don’t use this chance. In real practice it means that you should use all the tools of today to get the information that you need.

Search Google or other search engines for the topic of “driver downloader software“. Visit social networks and check the accounts that are relevant to your topic. Go to the niche forums and join the discussion. All this will help you to create a true vision of this market. Thus, giving you a real chance to make a smart and nicely balanced decision.

How to fix a laptop dell inspiron 1150 with overheating issues

How to fix a laptop with overheating issues like this dell inspiron 1150?

One of my colleagues asked me to look at old (about 2004) Dell Inspiron laptop, it needs to have the files moved over to her new Win7 based HP Pavillion laptop. The Dell is being retired as it has some problems freezing upon booting up. I suspect this is an overheating issue, so I decided to pull it to bits and clean and repair it.

This particular laptop like a lot of Dells is one of the easiest laptops to take apart and work upon. Rather in the common tradition of throw something away I wanted to see if I can make it usable. To get this machine apart it just needed a plastic strip and keyboard removed. To do my housemate’s Toshiba Satellite and my old Compaq to fix clogged fan/overheating issues required the whole machine to be completely dismantled, ie: remove screen hinges and separate both halves of the base, which is fiddly and needs about three dozen screws removed.

Overheating issues are a common issue with laptops, Toshibas often get dust stuck in the fans causing the bottom to get very hot, causing a fault or shortening the life of the motherboard and processor chip. HP were also plagued with problems with their Pavillion line. Here I will show you the techniques I used to fix this Dell:-

Brief legal spiel: Warning, do this at your own risk. Additional, before taking computer apart, disconnect all cables and remove battery. Work somewhere clear and put the screws in such a way where they wont get lost or get put back in the wrong places. But hey, if you computer is too expensive to get done by a shop and otherwise useless, and you have not fixed a laptop before, you might as well try this for the first time. :)

You need: Small (flat and philips) screwdriver set, patience, spray canned air, small tube of Arctic silver thermal grease.

Almost all Dells can be dismantled by taking out the plastic strip above the keyboard.  Left: Gently use a screwdriver to prise the small slot to the right of the plastic strip, one you lift it up, you might need to also prise a small gap above F12 key, then just jiggle it a bit around the screen hinges and the panel will gently come off.   Right: remove the four screws with the rings I have shown.

Left: I have flipped the keyboard over, detach the keyboard cable, it just needs a gentle wiggle to detatch.  Then, remove the screw marked and this metal panel can be lifted out. Right: there are four screws that hold the heatsink and fan assembly on.   These screws have numbers on as they should be removed and refitted in that sequence, as to avoid any weight of the heatsink putting too much pressure on one corner of the CPU chip.

Left: I have cleaned off the old dried up grease with a some kitchen roll and a small bottle of alcohol (CD player cleaning fluid or nail varnish remover) from the surface of the processor chip and the copper surface of the heatsink, so its nice and shiny.  The heatsink is sitting upside down ontop of the battery. Once the grease dries up, it loses its ability to properly dissipate heat from the processor chip.
Right: I have put a layer of new thermal grease on the processor, I use this stuff called Artic Silver 5, which is one of the best thermal grease on the market for its thermal conductivity.  You need to adequately cover the surface of the chip, not too much or too little.  The empty space where the heatsink and fan goes can be sprayed with canned air to remove dust and dirt.

This the fan.   Another four screws were removed to get the motor out.   Towards my fingers you can see lots of fluff has collected inside fouling the vents of the copper heatsink stopping air from escaping.   Zoom in and you can see where the yellow arrow is and spray some canned air to clean all of this out.   Spray more air to get all the dust from the fan blades. Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly.   Make sure the CPU fan is mounted on nice and tight but evenly.  When refitting the plastic strip, align the left hand side first, and work your fingers in snapping back in place towards the right hand side a bit at a time.   One thing I have not done is clean and replace the grease under the other heatsink where the graphics processor chip is.   This is worth doing at the same time though, as they can give heat problems, especially on HP laptops.

Enjoy your cooler running computer!

Fix Laptop DC Jack

It is possible to fix a laptop DC jack when it becomes defective. If you hired a professional to do it, the job may cost half the computer price.

Laptop computers receive power through the AC/DC adapter and the battery pack. The AC/DC cable occasionally can get damaged through regular wear and tear. It is important to repair the DC jack that the adapter plugs into as soon as possible, because most computers can only last on battery power for a few hours. It will take an hour or two to disassemble the computer and repair the power jack.
Taking Computer Apart

Position the computer so it is upside down on a flat surface. Take out all the screws from the bottom of the laptop with a screwdriver. Slide the cover off and store the screws in a drawer for safekeeping.

Take out any screws securing the hard drive housing with the appropriate type screwdriver. Once the housing is free, slide it away from the computer. Remove any screws holding the hard drive and pull it out.

Release the battery cover by pushing the lever to the side and pull out the battery.

Remove the screws in the hinges securing the LCD screen to the computer. Lift the screen away from the computer body, but do not disconnect any cables. Set down the screen near the computer.

Insert the blade of a flat head screwdriver into the groove on the right side of the laptop, above the top of the keyboard. Apply downward pressure to the handle to pry up the keyboard bezel. Pull off the bezel and set it aside.

Unscrew the screws holding the keyboard and remove it. Unplug the cable connecting the keyboard to the laptop.

Replacing Laptop DC Jack

Find the plastic piece on the motherboard that the DC jack fits into. Locate the jack if it dislodged and that is the reason for the power being cut off to the computer. Push the jack into the openings on the motherboard. Add a small quantity of glue on the base of the jack so it stays in place.

Replace the computer parts in the correct places. Test your computer to make sure the new jack works correctly. If the power still is not working, check the jacks contact points, as it may not be correctly connected. This should remedy the problem and power will be running to your computer through the AC adapter.
Tips

Wear an anti-static strap when working with a computer's internal parts, because the static charge could ruin the computer.

How to Fix an Overheating Laptop

One of the best things about laptops is their mobility. Users can access the web, watch movies, or use word processing tools in just about any location. However, this advantage also carries a few risks as well. Many people complain that their laptops suddenly shut down during use, most likely due to overheating. If your laptop frequently powers itself off, try the following tips to prevent your laptop from overheating in the future.

1. Elevate to increase air flow.
In standard laptops, there is a fan on the underside of the computer that helps circulate air throughout the internal components. The air helps the hardware cool off and eliminate the heat generated by computer use. When laptops are placed on soft surfaces such as a couch, bed, or even a person’s lap, the opening to the fan can get completely covered and the air circulation is cut off. In effect, the laptop is smothered. To fix this problem, place a small book or object underneath the back edge of the laptop to elevate the area and expose the fan to fresh air. The computer does not need to be elevated very much, as only an inch or two of space is sufficient for most laptops to cool themselves off.

2. Unplug the power cord.
When a laptop is plugged into its power source, the battery is being charged. This generates a significant amount of heat that can quickly overheat the machine. While users should not completely drain their laptop batteries, they should try to avoid using the laptop while charging the computer’s battery if they are having difficulties with an overheating laptop.

3. Clean the components.
A laptop that is laden with dust may frequently overheat even if the above recommendations are followed. This dust can block air from circulating and it holds in heat at the same time. Laptop owners should periodically remove their laptop’s outer casing and use an aerosol duster to gently clean away dust from the air intake vents and the machine’s internal components.

4. Use the internet.
The internet is full of useful tools, including programs that will actually track the internal temperature of your laptop for you. By using a search engine to find a reputable program, you can keep an eye on your laptop’s internal temperature at all times. This can be very helpful in preventing your laptop from overheating and potentially causing serious damage to the computer. As a precaution, always make sure that you check the authenticity and security of a program before downloading and installing it.

5. Watch for warning signs.
Most laptops that are beginning to get too hot will display some obvious warning signs that users should not ignore. There will be a sudden increase in the speed of the cooling fan that is usually hard to miss. Additionally, users may notice that their applications slow down and the computer seems to lose processing speed. Laptop owners should keep an eye and an ear out for these warning signs and act quickly to help the machine cool off.

When a laptop overheats, it is not only aggravating to have to start up the computer again, but it can also cause permanent damage to the machine. Laptop owners and users should implement these five tips to ensure that their laptops remain at normal functioning temperatures.

4 Tips on how to fix laptop or notebook battery not charging problem all by yourself

In this article you will learn how to fix laptop or notebook battery charging problems.

Below are a lists on the most common laptop battery failures together with it’s possible causes and solutions.

* Trouble: Laptop battery can sometimes receive charges only when the power plug is wiggle

Possible Causes and Solutions:

The battery charging failure above indicates that either the AC adapter or the laptop itself has a problem.

In order to isolate the faulty one, first you need to test the AC adapter with a voltmeter.

If the AC adapter has a normal output voltage, then probably the power jack of the motherboard is defective.

In this case, you need to replace or just resolder the power jack of the laptop motherboard.

* Trouble: After the laptop battery arrives at vital period, it discharges very quickly

Possible Causes and Solutions:

The battery charging failure above indicates bad battery. Due to old age, laptop battery sometimes act abnormally, like for example, the symptoms above.

Laptop battery manufacturers believe that a typical life span should be somewhere between 2 to 3 years. If your battery already reaches this stage, the only solution is to replaced that battery.

* Trouble: The laptop cannot detect the battery anymore!s

Possible Causes and Solutions:

If you are 100 percent sure that you properly installed and positioned your laptop battery into the battery compartment of the laptop but the laptop still cannot detect your battery when you log in to Windows, the problem lies only on the two components.

There are two main factor for this trouble, either the battery itself or the mainboard of the laptop is defective.

To solve this, first you need to replace the battery with a working or a new one.

If the error persist after you replace the old battery, then you probably have a bad motherboard.

Either the battery terminal which connects the battery and mainboard is defective or the circuit driver of the laptop motherboard which controls the battery operation of the laptop.

The solution is to replace the motherboard or do a component level repair on the laptop motherboard.

* Trouble: Laptop detects the battery but turns off when the power AC adapter is removed from the laptop or unplugged from the main power source.

Possible Causes and Solutions:

When you log in to Windows, you can see that your battery is detected by your laptop because it shows in the battery icon located in the system tray the remaining battery charge and the computer shows that it is charging.

But when you unplug the AC adapter, the laptop turns off. The probable causes for these trouble are maybe the battery is not seated properly or the battery contacts got dirty because of some of dirt or something.

If these might be the fault, try to use a toothbrush and scrub the battery terminal that connects the battery to the mainboard of the laptop and reconnect the battery and make sure that it is properly seated.

If these methods doesn’t help, most likely the battery is already busted due to old age, try to replace the battery with a working or new one.

If replacing the battery still doesn’t solve the issue, obviously the trouble has to do with the motherboard.

Perhaps the battery charging circuit of the motherboard is damaged or not working.

In this case, you’ll have to do a component level repair on the motherboard or replace the whole motherboard.

Laptop, Netbook Computer Overheating – How to Fix CPU Overheating

Laptop, Netbook Computer Overheating – How to Fix CPU Overheating.

Computer overheating is a thing which may be hazardous for a computer and even though most new computers have tools (both hardware and software) to safeguard this from happening, it is often a common occurrence.

Mainly due to higher powered video cards for intense gaming, or online movie viewing, faster CPU speeds in general as well as something called over-clocking.

There are several signs to watch for to see if your CPU temperature is running too high, many of them you might not even realise that this would be the cause.

Things to watch out for are listed below:

* Computer restarts unexpectedly.
* In the middle of a game and it would seem each frame is moving slower and slower than the one prior to.
* Your computer crashes much too frequently.
* Computer locks up suddenly.
* Things start running very slow, which were fast prior.
* You should listen for the sounds the fans make. Do they sound like they are continually running, or do they sound sporadic, loud at times and then sound as if they are not working.

Generally the CPU temp will begin to climb as the computer is regularly being utilized. The heat will begin to build up and then eventually cause overheating. If you live in a warm climate and do not have ample cooling in your work area, this could also accelerate the heat generation within the computer.

Understandably, high CPU temps which cause overheating, can in turn cause hardware failure, and worse, a fried motherboard, although, most computers nowadays have built-in safeguards (for example system restart).

Most motherboards will have built into the BIOS setup a method to monitor CPU temperature. During your computer startup, you may wish to enter the BIOS and go to PC health or Power. You should be able to see just what temps are for both the CPU and the system. Should you not want to have to do this each time to check, you can also install software within your Windows system that will monitor CPU temperature all the time. You must ensure however that your motherboard permits this.

Normal CPU temps for processors made by Intel are typical from Idle: 40 to 55 Load: 55 to 85, they do tend to run higher and hotter than AMD which is from Idle: 30 to 45 Load: 50 to 70.

If your CPU temperatures seem to be running very hot, you may need to take a few measures to try to minimize this. A simple one is to open one side of the tower to allow air flow in (but be warned lots of dust can and will get in). Another is to add or replace the heat sink on the processor which has a better one. It is also advisable to do regular dusting out (with compressed air or foot pump) the fans both within the computer and the power supply. Lastly, try to keep your computer inside a cool working location.

Computer Memory

Computer memory is the soul of your computer.

Basically, it is of three types -RAM or the random access memory , ROM or the read only memory, and the hard drive memory. RAM computer memory is used by the computer processor for processing the information. It is a temporary memory, and the moment computer is shut down, every piece of data in the RAM is lost. It is at this point of time that computer flash memory
comes into the picture. RAM is further classified into different types such as extended data out (EDO); fast page mode (FPM); single data rate (SDR); Synchronous Dynamic RAM (SDRAM); double data rate -first generation (DDR1); and the double data rate -second generation (DDR2) respectively.

ROM is the memory that is stored on the computer's motherboard. The memory has all the data which is required by the computer for starting it smoothly. Since it is a read only memory, ROM can only be used for reading purposes and not for writing. Hard drive memory on the computer is the memory located on the physical drive and which can be used for storing huge amounts of data at any given point of time. The data can be easily recovered from this computer memory after the computer is switched on. Hard drive memory is a computer memory that can be used for longer duration of time.

Whether it is Dell or Apple memory or for that matter memory of any other assembled computer system, the central role of the memory remains the same, which is to store high quantity of data and make it available for use for information purposes. With increase in the resources, the requirement for computer memory upgrade becomes a necessary aspect. Upgrading the memory of computer system is very easy and not a cumbersome task and it takes only few minutes of your time. When you go for upgrade of computer memory, there's substantial increase in the performance of your computer system as it now takes much less processing time.

Computer memory upgrade for Apple requires different procedures altogether than the procedures that are otherwise required by the PC. There can be many reasons for the shift in procedures when considering memory upgrade and apple memory. The primary reasons that are otherwise responsible are differences in the configuration of RAM, Motherboards, and Graphics Cards etc. Therefore, the computer memory specifications, in case you are thinking of memory upgrade, are directly related to the hardware compatibility of the resources.

If you are not aware about the configuration of your PC, then it might not be possible for you to easily do the task of upgrade. In such a situation it'd be a good idea that you go for hardware professional that will give you the service and change the computer memory of your system for good performance and fast response time. It is important to note here that computer memory, irrespective of the fact, whether it is RAM, ROM or Hard disk, is meant to give efficiency, only if it is compatible with other hardware resources.

If memory is not compatible then there are possibilities of hardware and software conflicts occurring; and this will completely deteriorate the performance of the computer system sooner or later. Make sure that you keep the point in your mind.
